When young people are affected by their parents alcohol use, it often seems there is no help available. Keeping the secret within the family means that young people often struggle on with impossible situations and responsibilities way beyond their years. This leaflet is a first step to giving out positive messages to encourage young people to look after themselves and to recognise their problems. It also suggests useful helplines and websites ensuring that help is available in confidence.
