This service has a small team dedicated to public mental health. Members of the team have specialised roles and there is a strong and deliberate focus on primary care as this is seen as a key setting for preventive work. Specialists in this service work together with those located in primary care mental health services in Central and South Manchester.
There are also strong links to other parts of this service since mental health is a key factor in all aspects of our physical health and illness. There are particularly strong links to the Healthy Schools team where there are mental health promotion specialists for schools.
