The PHDS works to improve health across the city of Manchester. It has a particular emphasis on reducing health inequalities and works to address the factors that affect health and well-being. This is achieved by working in partnership with other organisations, groups and local communities.
The service employs a team of qualified Public Health Development Advisors (PHDA), Resource and Information Library Officers, Graphic Designers and administrative staff.
