The Waiting Room is a DVDROM including a toolkit which is an education resource aimed at 11-16 year olds who are at higher risk of engaging in behaviour associated with blood borne virus infections (BBVs) such as Hepatitis B and C and HIV. It includes a film which tells the story of three young people’s experiences of BBV infection. It also has an accompanying ‘Toolkit’ in a PDF document which has been devised to provide background information and to facilitate discussion around the issues raised in each story. The film can be viewed as a single prevention/information tool, or used for further exploration (a peer led discussion process to improve self-efficacy and confidence.)
